'Mystery man' celebrating in sunglasses with Liverpool players during title lift uncovered

Some Liverpool fans were left puzzled across social media on Wednesday night as they wondered who was front and centre of the Premier League title celebrations.

The Reds were officially crowned as top flight champions after a 5-3 victory against Chelsea sparking jubilant scenes inside Anfield with pyrotechnics, fireworks and the now famous trademark Jordan Henderson shuffle all on display.

During the trophy-lifting celebrations all of the staff and players were present and each took it in turns to get pictures with the Premier League trophy alongside posing for several incredible group shots that will live long in the memory of the Anfield faithful.

There was one man in the mix though who was wearing sunglasses that some appeared not to recognise and were left questioning who he was.

One fan on Twitter asked: "In the Liverpool celebrations last night who was the small guy with black sunglasses? Didn't recognise him".

However, despite what you could almost call a summer disguise, the man behind the glasses was first-team physiotherapist Jose Luis Rodriguez.

Rodriguez joined Liverpool in 2018 and is a part of the first-team medical set-up currently based at Melwood.

He, alongside others, has helped Reds stars such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rhian Brewster get on the mend after long-term injuries.

Liverpool have one game left in this season's campaign, away to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
