A bus driver in Leeds is doing his best to keep the festive spirit well and truly alive on bleak winter mornings by dressing up as Father Christmas.
Shannon Robertshaw, 22, was one of hundreds of passengers to be greeted by the mystery driver as she got on the 42 First Bus service in Old Farnley this morning (Wednesday) along with her three children.
As the bus pulled up alongside them, Shannon's four-year-old daughter began to get rather excited.
"Under that hat and fake beard the driver actually had a proper white beard as well," Shannon told LeedsLive.
"My little girl is deaf, so she starting signing to me to say: 'It's Santa!'"
There were dozens of schoolchildren on the bus at the time - and every single one of them arrived at school with a big smile on their face.
'The kids were buzzing'
The heartwarming Christmas gesture prompted Shannon to share the photo on the Facebook community group, leedsplace, alongside the caption: "He made my children's day."
"It was amazing to be honest," Shannon added. "The kids were buzzing.
"My little girl got to school and starting telling all of her friends about it. Some of them saw him too and they were all just so happy."
