Mystery Edinburgh Euromillions winner plans to pay off mortgage with bumper prize

An anonymous Edinburgh man is living the secret high life after scooping almost £300,000 in a life-changing Euromillions lottery win.

The mystery player, known only as Mr F, matched five main numbers plus the lucky star in the draw on March 4, according to prize game operators Camelot.

The capital local, who opted to keep his identity a secret, received a total of £290,569.20 after entering the lucky dip on the National Lottery app and now plans to pay off his mortgage with the winnings.

It means Mr F follows in the footsteps of Jane Park, who raked in a massive £1.6 million jackpot when she won a similar Euromillions prize as a teenager in 2013.

She opted against anonymity but is now reported to be on her way to making her second million by selling racy pictures online.

Over eight million people pick up winnings of various amounts from the lottery every week, according to bosses.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What brilliant news for Mr. F for winning this fantastic prize.

“He can look forward to living mortgage free.”
