Mystery death at Perthshire boarding school

Tragedy has struck a Perthshire independent school after a teenager was found dead this morning (Monday, November 11).

Emergency services raced to Strathallan School after receiving a call in the morning.

Police have said the death is currently being treated as “unexplained”, with investigations at an early stage.

It is understood to have been a pupil who died.

A number of police units and an ambulance raced to the scene within the Forgandenny school’s grounds after a call at 7.20am.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We offer our heartfelt condolences and support to the family and all others affected.”
