Mystery as dinosaur spotted roaming streets of West Lothian village

People in East Calder have been treated to the unlikely sight of a dinosaur roaming the streets during lockdown.

Most days for the past few weeks, a very friendly dinosaur has been spotted waving to kids big and small and at passing cars and buses.

It doesn’t seem to be a threat and even received an invitation from the Mid Calder Community Council to visit one day, which it did, thrilling the kids, and the drivers who were shocked to see it on the main road between the two villages.

Nobody knows where this Dinosaur came from but it is clearly planning to stick around, as it even paid a visit to the East Calder Medical Practice.

Did it register? Is a GP surgery even the place for a Dinosaur or should we be redirecting it to the nearest veterinary surgery?

Local residents don’t seem to be alarmed, with various families asking it to visit their street, through a facebook page that has been set up for it; East Calder Dinosaur Goes Walkabout.

Here’s hoping it sticks around, as it’s certainly cheering up everyone who crosses its path.
