A mysterious 'massive' creature was caught on camera prowling through a farmer's field in Wales.
Stephen Wraight and his daughter Emily were stunned when they spotted what appeared to be a big black cat on Monday.
The pair had been discussing the so-called 'Beast of Pontybodkin' just before they saw the animal while out walking in Llanfynydd, Flintshire, North Wales.
Emily managed to capture footage of the creature just before it disappeared at around 12.15pm, NorthWalesLive reports.
In the clip it can be seen walking along the back of a field and then making its way towards a wooded area separating two fields.
Stephen, 55, from Pontybodkin, can be heard describing the cat as “massive”.
The keen naturalist said he believes the animal could possibly have been a panther rather than a puma.
Speaking to North Wales Live, he said: “My daughter and I were out walking the dog, about five minutes from the house on the main road.
“We had just been talking about the so-called ‘Beast of Pontybodkin’ and when my daughter looked up, she said ‘look at that dad’.
“I told her to film it, so she got her phone out and started to video it.
“We didn’t know what it was and whether it was real.”
Before his own encounter, Stephen admitted he’d been sceptical about a number of other recent sightings across north east Wales.
“We’d been laughing and joking ever since the first person made the first sighting a while ago,” he said.
“My daughter asked if I’d ever seen anything and I said I’ve been walking down there all my life and I’d never seen hide nor hair.
“And then all of a sudden, there is it - right in front of us.
“Had we not got it on film, I think I’d have thought I imagined it.”
The sighting was reported to Puma Watch North Wales - a group set up to document sightings and raise awareness of suspected big cats.
Following the recent sightings, Tory Member of the Senedd Darren Millar has called for the Welsh Government to investigate the encounters.
The Clwyd West representative described the sightings as a "real worry" and is urging for action to be taken "before someone is hurt or worse".
