Myleene Klass has shared her fears after finding multiple lumps on her breast.
The Loose Women star, 48, first felt a strange lump when she crossed her arms while watching tennis at Wimbledon and rushed to her doctor to get checked out.
The former Hear’Say singer shared a photo of herself topless, with pen marks pointing out where the lumps were investigated.
“Girls. A massive reminder to check yourselves. I accidentally felt a lump when I was at Wimbledon watching the tennis. I casually folded my arms and there it was,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Then a second one. The subsequent days went both quickly and agonisingly slowly. 3 cysts and 3 lymph nodes later, I’m okay, BUT the days of waiting meant I reorganised my life into a new set of priorities and ‘what ifs’, only to thankfully get the all clear and then experience the weird ‘reordering’ of going back to ‘normal’.”
She added: “I have close friends going through similar experiences [at the moment] and it’s sobering, humbling and terrifying.
“It’s the having kids that anyone who experiences anything near this will know to be the first and final concern.”
Klass, who who has spoken publicly about having four miscarriages, went on: “I haven’t seen an ultrasound since my multiple [miscarriages] and that too was pretty sobering.
“All this to say, as a fierce advocate for women’s health and not hiding what’s uncomfortable, right now, check yourself and go get a second opinion.”
She concluded: “Kudos and eternal thanks to [talent agency] @the_mutha_ship who moved mountains lightning fast to get me seen and sorted and didn’t take her foot off the gas.
“To those who don’t have a Sev, look at this as your prompt from me. Check yourselves.”
Klass’ celebrity friends flooded the comments with their support, with BBC star Lauren Laverne penning: “Love you xxx.”
Presenter Kirsty Gallacher added: “Gosh darling, sending so much love amazing lady and glass all ok. Thank you for sharing. Love you.”
Klass has been open about her struggles in the past, including the “isolation, loneliness and visceral pain” she felt after her miscarriages.
The former singer - who has three children: Ava, 18, Hero, 15, and Apollo, seven - spoke out about her pregnancy losses after her BBC documentary Myleene Klass: Miscarriage and Me aired in 2024.
She penned: “’I'm so sorry, there's no heartbeat'. If you, like me, have been on the receiving end of those words (4 times), I too am sorry. For your loss and the pain I know you carry.
“You cannot understand the raw, visceral pain, confusion and terror that a miscarriage brings until you hear those words for yourself.”
She pushed the government to introduce official recognition certificates for babies that can be logged in patients’ medical records and 24/7 care for mothers.
“To the ones who went before us, know that you chose your Mamas well as we won't stop until your voices can finally be heard, acknowledged and officially recognised. No matter how briefly, you were here,” she wrote.
“For those who ache to hold their babies in their arms, not just their hearts, you're not alone. We will get our babies what they deserve. Until we all cross that line together, I will not stop fighting for my babies and yours.”
Last year, she was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her work raising awareness and pushing for legal reform following multiple pregnancy losses.
