Myleene Klass's four devastating miscarriages that left her terrified to drink water

Myleene Klass has revealed her third child was the “most scanned in history” after previously having four miscarriages.

The presenter said she was so devastated by the losses she was scared of drinking water while pregnant in case she went to the loo and saw blood.

Myleene, 43, admitted it sounds “ludicrous” but said anyone who has experienced miscarriage will know what “that stomach-tightening feeling” is.

Her third miscarriage came while she was on air at Smooth Radio and popped to the toilet.

Myleene, who has daughters Ava, 14, and Hero, 10, and son Apollo, two, managed to finish the last hour of the show.

Speaking to Psychologies Magazine, she said: “I didn’t know what else to do. I didn’t want to go home because I was going to have to deliver the news and break the magic.

“But life doesn’t stop and I took my daughter to dance class as soon as I got back.

“There was no time to catch my breath because I have children who rely on me and who I need to protect.”

When Myleene was pregnant with Apollo, she revealed: “I had so many scans my midwife said he was the most photographed baby in history.

“I didn’t want to drink water as I was scared of needing the loo and seeing blood.”

Looking back at her miscarriages, she revealed: “I remember the despair, grief and anger. And the panic.

“But it wasn’t until I looked back at my diaries that I realised how broken I was.

“By the fourth time, it was just a spiral of absolute terror.”

Myleene, who is engaged to businessman Simon Motson, will front a documentary about miscarriages next month called Myleene Klass: Miscarriage & Me on W.

Launching the programme in June, she said:“Miscarriage still feels like a taboo. I’d like to help make these conversations a little easier. It can’t go on being the big dark secret that we have to carry around.”

Last year on Instagram she revealed her four miscarriages.

She said: “I am Mama to 7 babies, Ava, Hero, Apollo my rainbow baby and 4 little stars in the sky.”
