Myleene Klass reveals painful broken toe and torn cartilage after leaving Dancing On Ice

Myleene Klass had to go to hospital after she was left with a painful broken toe and torn cartilage in her knee this week.

The former Hear'Say star, 42, took to her Instagram account as she filmed her big toe wrapped up in a bandage as she sat on her hospital bed, before her knee was seen to by a doctor.

She captioned the first post "broken toe" and chose to play the Justin Timberlake song Sexy Back over the top of the clip.

Another video showed a doctor putting gel on her knee, and she captioned the clip: "Torn Meniscus."

The meniscus is a C-shaped piece of cartilage in the knee joint, which acts as a cushion between the thigh and shinbone.

A torn meniscus is one of the most common knee injuries.

Myleene didn't say how she got her injuries.

It comes after she became the first star to be voted off Dancing On Ice.

Myleene and her professional skating partner Lukasz Rozycki were sent home after losing a skate-off to Lady Leshurr and her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield.

When she was voted off, Myleene said: "I couldn't have done it without Lukasz and my family. I've never skated before so this is a skill I've learned in lockdown.

"When the rinks are back open, I will be there.

"To all the team here, it's not been an easy production in lockdown so I feel really chuffed. I'm really happy."
