MyDerry readers share their favourite place in the city for lunch

It wasn't that long ago that even the prospect of sitting at a table at a Derry restaurant or cafe enjoying a meal seemed very far-fetched.

Our city seems to have every possible cuisine covered, with dozens of options right on our doorstep - or only a short journey away.

Last week, we asked you on our Facebook page: 'Where is your favourite spot for lunch in Derry?'

The post was met with literally dozens of responses as comments flooded in from Derry folk keen to support their favourite go-to places for a bite to eat.

Your replies covered every corner of our wee city!

Here's just a flavour of the many places you suggested:

  • Joanna Doherty - 'Dalys is lovely and the food is amazing'
  • Bridgene Temple - 'Dalys, Pickled Duck, Timberquay'
  • Louise Lafferty - 'The old docks, great food and service'
