Watching a dog trip over their own feet and flop onto the floor is adorable, providing they haven't hurt themselves.
But a clumsy dog can cost its owner a fortune in vet bills.
One owner knows this all too well after venting his frustration about his Yorkshire terrier who is always at the vets and leaving him out of pocket almost every month.
Speaking about his accident-prone pooch on Reddit, the man explained how he adopted a 16-year-old dog in June last year - and has been back and forth to the vets ever since.
He said: "I love him but he’s the stupidest dog to ever exist. I’ve never had a dog this dumb."

His dog has a 'fascination" for peeing in peculiar places, such as inside spiky bushes or on other creatures.
"He loves peeing in ant hills but is very allergic to ants," he said.
"I often have to bring him into the vet because he peed in an anthill and the ants didn’t like it.
"Just today he climbed into a bush to pee, and I had to pull splinters out of his testicles."
Unable to teach him a single command, not even 'sit', the man is at a loss with his dog, saying "I'm just worried for his safety at this point".
He added: "He also constantly jumps off of things he shouldn’t. He weighs five pounds and sprains his legs a lot.
"I turn away for five seconds and he’s trying to hurt himself in some dumb way.
"He also loves to eat plastic and I have had to shove my fingers down his throat to stop him from choking more times than I can count."
The man believes his dog's lack of intelligence stems from being abused by his previous owner - and from being locked away from the world around him.
"He has a few broken bones that healed, and I know he was locked in a tiny kennel for five years straight before I got him," he said.
"They gave him food and water, and cleaned the kennel once a month, but they never took him to a groomer or talked to him.
"So I’m trying my best, but he may just be happy to be out, so he’s exploring and doing everything he loves."
Before asking for advice, the man explained how he has previously worked with a professional trainer and has been trying out their tips on his "dumb dog" - but it all just goes over the dog's head.

He said: "He’s on a two-foot leash when we’re out. He physically can’t pull away from our feet but he still finds ant hills.
"We also have stairs to prevent him jumping off stuff but he still jumps."
While most users laughed at his clumsy dog, others tried to share a word of advice with the struggling owner.
One user said: "Not going to lie, I laughed at the mental image of your dog peeing on an anthill.
"Your dog, while dumb, sounds adorable!
"But yes, it is a safety issue. My advice would be to work with a dog trainer on teaching your dog commands like 'come,' 'sit and 'leave it' - these are important for safety and setting boundaries (like no ant hills)."
Another user added: "I am so sorry you are having such a hard time, but your writing is so funny that I couldn't help chuckle at the thought of you pulling splinters out of his testicles.
"Have you tried positive reinforcement, where if he pees on a clear grass patch as opposed to somewhere he shouldn’t, you reward him?
"Or a really short leash till he is done peeing and then more room for him to walk after that?
"Ramps and steps should help with the jumping too."
