'My window was vibrating': Edinburgh residents share incredible videos of last night's thundersnow

Edinburgh residents were woken up by 'thundersnow' for the second night in a row on Saturday morning, following similar 'explosions' that woke people up at around 5am on Friday, prompting many people to dial 999.

Police Scotland ended up issuing a tweet to reassure residents in Edinburgh, saying "We have have received a number of calls regarding people concerned about explosions heard. Please do not be alarmed, we are currently experiencing thunder and lightning."

The snow also caused disruption across many areas, including temporarily closing the Queensferry Crossing.
