'My Tinder boyfriend beat me so I'd lose my looks and no man would ever want me'

A woman says her Tinder boyfriend beat her to a 'bloody pulp' before telling her she'd lost her looks and no man would want her.

Jak Kosta launched a frenzied two-hour attack on his girlfriend Emma Bignall when she ended their relationship.

A shocking photo shows the brave 30-year-old's injuries: a swollen eye, serious cuts on her face filled with blood, and purple bruises.

Emma, a mum-of-one, believes her ex targeted her face on purpose to disfigure her and make her 'ugly'.

In an interview with the Sun , she described screaming as she was punched repeatedly and "headbutted".

"He kept going for my face, beating me to a bloody pulp until, eventually, I blacked out."

She said she woke up after what seemed like hours, feeling sick and in terrible pain.

Emma said Jak stroked her 'mangled and swollen face' before telling her 'You’ve lost your looks now, no man’s going to want you anymore'.

She said: "Suddenly, the penny dropped. Jak had gone for my face to disfigure me, to make me as ugly as possible. It was beyond cruel."

The pair had only been together for four months when she confronted the 32-year-old over photographs she had discovered on his phone.

Emma told him the relationship was over and he responded by punching walls in the home in Loughton, Essex, and started damaging items.

Fearing she was going to be harmed she called a friend but this went to voicemail. The message that was left helped record the attack that followed at 3.15am.

Kosta pinned Emma to the bed, smashed her phone and head-butted her to the face repeatedly and punched her in the side of the head.

He also kicked her and dragged her by her hair from one room to the next in an attack which lasted two hours.

Kosta, of no fixed address, was scratched while Emma defended herself.

He head-butted Emma and knocked her unconscious before she woke later with him next to her stroking her face in a "creepy and possessive" way.

A neighbour heard her cries for help and phoned the police who arrested him for the attack which happened on December 16.

He was later charged with causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.

He pleaded guilty to the charges and was jailed for 15 months when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court in Essex in June last year.

He was also made subject of a 10-year restraining order.
