My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher - review

This book is about a boy called Jamie, whose sister was killed in a terrorist attack in London, trying to make sense of why his family cried after her death - he was only small when it happened.

I think this book is sad but at the same time very reassuring and riveting. The bit when Jamies' friend Sunya is being bullied, I felt like I wanted to suddenly be in the book and run at the boy bullying her and push him to the ground, possibly kick him, then shout "Don't you know that bullying is unacceptable!?"

I enjoyed it because it gives people an understanding about bullying and racism.
I'd strongly recommend this wonderful book to people who don't know much about racism.
