'My seven-year-old son is expecting the tooth fairy to leave £100 under his pillow'

Children say the funniest things, don't they?!

Mum-of-two Roxy Jacenko knows this only too well after a recent conversation with her seven-year-old son about the tooth fairy.

The parent from Australia, who works in PR, has left people laughing after sharing her child's surprising tooth request on social media.

As reported by Kidspot, Roxy shared a video on Instagram in which her son can be seen proudly showing off his missing tooth and placing it in a pouch ready for the tooth fairy to collect.

"I lost my tooth," he tells the camera.

His mum replies: "What are you doing with it?"

The seven-year-old explains: "I’m putting it where the tooth fairy can [bring me] money."

Roxy then asks her child what sort of money he's looking for from the fairy and is surprised when he replies $200.

This figure is around £107 in the UK.

Whew! That's a far cry from the 50 pence piece or £1 coin our parents used to leave under our pillows.

Roxy hit the headlines earlier this year after she bought a £141k Mercedes Benz for her son and nine-year-old daughter, even though they aren't able to drive.

She posted a snap of the car online, writing: "A special gift for two special little people delivered today @pixiecurtis @huntercurtis14. 7 seats to accommodate the Curtis zoo!"

Her daughter Pixie also took to share a look at the fabulous gift, writing: "This was such a surprise! Mum told us to come to the front of the house - we thought there was a trampoline delivery - it was a new car! We told her we needed 7 seats we didn’t think she would actually organise it!"

The purchase divided her followers, with some deeming it "unnecessary" while others congratulated her on the gift.
