'My roommate has ruined my clothes by wearing them on sly so I've taken drastic action'

Treating yourself to clothes is such a good feeling.

Whether you prefer to do your hauls online or in person, it's great when you try things on and they fit almost like they were custom-made for you.

But what would you do if the clothes you'd recently bought suddenly started to fit a little bit differently?

One woman took to Reddit to complain that she'd found out her roommate was wearing her new expensive garments, but didn't find it a big deal - however, the Redditor clearly did.

She wrote: "Recently, I have been noticing that any new clothes I get are becoming less tight and looser a few days after first purchasing them.

"It was making me doubt myself if I was the reason for that like maybe I was gaining weight, and was loosening them when I tried them on myself.

"But then I found out that it's actually my roommate who has been trying them out for 'a few hours' when I wasn't home. I went bats*** crazy at her because she basically ruined like five new sets of expensive clothes."

She went on to explain that the clothes don't fit properly anymore as they're too loose because her roommate has a different body type to her.

She continued: "I don't like it because she didn't tell me about it until I caught her myself, she said that she thought it was something so insignificant that she didn't need permission from me.

"Let's just say that things didn't go well and I decided to get a lock for my closet which offended her and got her on the defensive. Am I the a**hole?"

People were quick to point out that it's unacceptable to help yourself to other people's things.

One wrote: "Invasion of privacy is unacceptable. You only noticed it because of the size change and then being ruined. You should charge her for them. You can’t wear them properly anymore."

"Clothes are too expensive to be tried on by someone random especially if that person knows they aren’t the same size", another sympathised.

Another said: "I wouldn’t put on someone else’s clothes at all but I especially wouldn’t do it when I knew that our difference in size would cause damage to the clothes."
