A successful porn star has confessed that her manager dad was originally disgusted by her controversial career path. Kimmy Granger, 27 began her X rated work when she started off as an exotic stripper but she soon converted to porn in her early twenties and was quickly filming with well known production companies.
Now, several years down the line, she is a flourishing model who has accumulated over 1 million followers on Instagram and has now opened up new doors for herself as she films private content on her OnlyFans channel too. But Kimmy's first daliances in the sex work industry originally had a negative impact on her relationship with her family members.
However, her "mortified" dad eventually came around to support her career choice, the Daily Star reports. And she revealed she is now closer than ever with her father, who has even become her manager.
Kimmy appeared on Holly Randall's Unfiltered podcast, where she spoke about how her dad was initially ''disturbed'' and could not come to terms with her explicit job. She said: “My dad, when he did find out, it was traumatising. He was mortified, he wanted to die. He was like, ‘what the f*** did I do wrong as a father?’'
She added: "No dad wants that for their kids. It disturbed him and I gave him the space he needed, and then some months down the road after he found out, I would always reach out to him.” But Kimmy revealed that he has now come around to the idea, and is even "proud" that she is "happy" and "stable".
She continued: “I don’t ever want him to think that I went into this to hurt him… I went into this because I wanted it, I really genuinely feel like it’s the right thing for me, I love love love this job. It was almost like porn brought my dad and I closer together."
“My dad and I never were super close, I was always focused on my mum. My mum was an alcoholic and she was just gone, she was done with life."
In fact, her dad is now so supportive that he has taken an active role in her career. She continued: “I made it very clear to him that I’m safe and happy and not on drugs. Now he’s my manager; he manages all my finances, and does all my bookkeeping, and we’re like a team.”
