Twice a week we publish problems that will feature in a forthcoming Dear Jeremy advice column in the Saturday Guardian so that readers can offer their own advice and suggestions. We then print the best of your comments alongside Jeremy’s own insights. Here is the latest dilemma – what are your thoughts?
I have been with the same company for almost three years. Within the last two months my supervisor has been changed.
This individual has never liked me from the first day I joined the company and now that I report to him, he’s making it very uncomfortable for me to operate on a day-to-day basis.
I am the only person in his department who he treats coldly and it is now being noticed by all. He appears to be edging me out of projects and goes out of his way to avoid me. I feel like an outcast in my own department but I really don’t want to have to look for another job.
