Christmas is a time to spread joy - and many people do this by decorating their homes from the inside out. But as not everybody enjoys the holidays, the idea of having a flashing light display outside their front door fills them with rage.
That's exactly what one woman encountered when decorating the outside of her home for Christmas. Taking to Reddit, the woman explained how she has been restoring her old Victorian home to get it just how she wants - but her neighbours constantly criticise her for her design choices.

She explained: "An older couple moved in across the street this summer and started b****ing about everything I did.
"They didn't like the sliding I was having put on, my front door colour was ugly and they hated all the different coloured flowers I planted."
But seeing through their petty remarks, she believe their true issue came from the fact they didn't like living opposite a young, single woman.
They have previously asked her how she managed to buy such a large house on a single salary.
"I tried to ignore them until Christmas," she said. "I put up lights and a few blow ups but nothing the other neighbours don't do."

"This couple started b****ing right off. Christmas offended them."
To get pay back for their constant negative remarks toward her lights, the woman confessed to adding more and more decorations to the front of her house each time they complain.
She joked: "I just smiled and added more. At this moment, my house can be seen on Mars."
While most users couldn't help but laugh at her revenge, others shared stories about their own nuisance neighbours.
One user said: "After I moved in, the woman across the street told me she was going to buy my house but it was too ugly.
"Well, I told her, 'Now you can look at it all day, every day'."
Another user added: "A decorator recently told me that a client of hers had got her to paint the front of his house a horrible shade of bright yellow.
"When she asked politely if he was sure, he said that he hated the people across the road, and was getting it done solely to annoy them!"
A third user said: "When we bought our house our neighbour across the road gifted us a book of home exterior inspiration with posted notes on the pages he liked best.
"It came with a note that said 'Remember I have to look at your house all day'."
