'My neighbours are hanging creepy dolls from their tree - my children are terrified'

With the festive period in full swing, it is that time of year when houses up and down the country are dusting off the decorations from the loft to put up on their house this Christmas.

But one woman wants to confront her neighbour for putting up certain decorations on a tree in the front garden which leaves the kids terrified.

Taking to the 'Am I Being Unreasonable Forum?' on Mumsnet, the woman, who remained anonymous, explained that her neighbour has started putting very spooky doll decorations on a tree in their front garden which is leaving them very disturbed.

Many have agreed they are creepy dolls (@sandyfroglets/MumsNet)

In the post, the woman said: "Unsure what this is for but they keep adding more rag dolls to their tree in their front garden. It's really creeping my children out.

"They are hanging with other objects like wooden rings and ribbons. Is it some kind of pagan thing? No idea but it's so weird."

She then asked the forum if she could get her neighbour to take them down as they live in a quiet place where little happens so feels she does not want creepy dolls hanging on trees outside her home.

In response, many have agreed that her neighbour's behaviour is odd and felt she could ask to get them taken down.

One person wrote: "That's hilariously awful. Tell the kids the creepy dolls are just the guardians of the elf on the shelf or helpers of Santa or whatever."

While another stated: "That is really spooky! I don't know enough about pagan to say one way or another, but the bunting type rags make me think it could be."

A third penned: "Say the kids are creeped out and you want to tell them what it is. Unless the dolls have the kids faces on, then call the police."
