If you live in a building with a lift, you'll know all too well how frustrating it is when everyone else is trying to use it at the same time - especially if the lifts are small and it's already crammed when it goes past your floor.
One man was left baffled when another bloke started to act unusually when he entered the lift with him and his dog, demanding that he 'keep that dog away' from him, despite the fact his husky had done nothing wrong.
He took to Reddit to explain he'd been waiting first for the lift but said he did feel guilty due to the way the man behaved towards his pooch.

He wrote: "I live in an apartment with a small elevator that can only fit two people. Last night, my husky and I were waiting for the elevator when a guy arrived and rushed into the elevator with us.
"He started looking scared when my dog looked at him. I was confused as the elevator is very small and didn't know what to do. He yelled 'keep that dog away from me' multiple times.
"Honestly not much I can do, the place is just way too small (the elevator is probably one square metre) and my dog and I were just in a corner. He is in the other corner yelling at us.
"I exited the elevator at my destination wondering if I was in the wrong. Should I have left the elevator and allowed him to ride? The entire wait time for the elevator is a maximum of 1 minute.
"Am I the a**hole? Should I have handled things differently?"
In the comments, people were quick to point out that before the man entered the lift, he had no idea he had a problem with dogs, so wondered how he was supposed to know.
One wrote: "If that person didn't wanted to be near a dog then he simply shouldn't have taken the same elevator when there already is a dog inside duh. Some people just can't be helped."
Another said: "It's not like you were hiding the husky until the doors closed and then surprised him with it. He could have waited if it was that big of an issue. If you frequently cross paths at elevator time, you could let him go first, just to be kind."
"I'd love a surprise Husky", someone joked.
Someone else said: "If the guy has a dog phobia then he should be paying attention rather than rushing into an enclosed environment with the one thing he might not like.
"But then, equally, I've found that some dog owners can be very inconsiderate to people who don't like dogs."
Do you think the dog owner could've done more? Let us know in the comments.
