'My job is to improve us', Steve Bruce asked about more summer signings at Newcastle United

Steve Bruce says that Newcastle United may not be finished in the summer transfer window.

However, with just 16 days remaining in the main trading period of 2021, time is ticking away for the Toon head coach and his board.

The Magpies presented £25million new boy Joe Willock to the 50,000 crowd just before the kick off against West Ham, however, it was clear that reinforcements seem to be needed.

Bruce still has two Premier League loan options to play with and was asked about further deals after the 4-2 loss to the Hammers.

Speaking to Sky Sports he said: "We're all looking. We're delighted that we've been able to bring Joe Willock in but we'll never stop looking.

"We always want more as managers and coaches but as we stand we're exactly where we were and if we can add a little bit more to it then we'll try.

"My job is to improve us, so all over the pitch we look at so that’s what we’ll try and do."
