Twice a week we publish problems that will feature in a forthcoming Dear Jeremy advice column in the Saturday Guardian so that readers can offer their own advice and suggestions. We then print the best of your comments alongside Jeremy’s own insights. Here is the latest dilemma – what are your thoughts?
Today I had a job interview for a permanent position at a company. At present I work for the company as a contractor.
The interview went really badly – I couldn’t answer some of the questions. The worst thing was that my manager, who was one of the interviewers, was really upset with me (judging by his face).
How should I recover from this as I fear it could affect my future work here as a contractor and of course any hopes I had of a permanent job?
