A new dad has said he is considering banning his in-laws from visiting after they made persistent cruel comments to his wife following the birth of their daughter.
He explains that his wife's parents have always treated her differently to her brothers, but she 'didn't mind and could always overlook it'.
But the problem has worsened since they became parents and the dad revealed the relationship is a breaking point due to their snide remarks.
He says when his wife has been eating they have told her: "Now that the baby is born, you can't still use her for an excuse as to why you're fat."

The husband added that his partner is not close to fat at all, and the comments have convinced her to start dieting when there is no need to.
On another occasion, when the new mum has felt tired they have said: "Wow you can't even handle one child, maybe if you pushed yourself to be a better mom, you wouldn't need to call your parents to bail you out."
He again adds that they never asked to them to come over and they had just turned up.

His wife also recently decided to be a stay a home mum for a while to spend quality time with the little one, and he bought her a new car because it was top rated for safety.
When he did, his wife's mother said to her: "Isn't it nice your husband treats you like a trophy wife when you aren't even a trophy."
The husband says they never make the rude comments when he is in the room, but he's heard them over the baby monitor or from the next room, and his wife tells him about other instances.
He's now consider banning them from their home as he hates the way they make his wife feel, and she's always down after they have left.
Asking others for advice on what to do on Reddit, one said he was doing the right thing, replying: "Her parents are emotionally abusive. Sounds like she's scared of them."
Another echoed the point, saying: "If they treat her like that, they'll treat your kids like that. They need to learn before you kid gets old enough to be damaged by it."
