'My husband must put me above his family - and he can't have female friends'

Having boundaries in a relationship isn't a bad thing if you're both on the same page.

But one woman who shared the rules she has for her husband in their marriage has divided opinions online.

Bailey opened up about her and her partner's Christian marriage on her TikTok account @bmcpher, where she revealed that he isn't allowed female friends and must put her above everyone else, even his family.

She captioned the clip: "Rules my husband and I have for our marriage that make people ANGRY"

The first rule Bailey revealed was that the couple has "no friends of the opposite sex."

This extends to their workplaces, and they don’t let each other be around the opposite sex alone.

Bailey also said that they ban “texting the opposite sex without the other knowing.”

In a follow-up video, she admitted that they also ban porn and lusting after the opposite sex.

Another big rule is that they always put each other first, even above parents.

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 600,000 views and thousands of comments from people debating the topic.

While one person said: "Tell me you don’t trust your partner without telling me you don’t trust your partner."

Another wrote: "This just sounds like insecurities tbh."

A third said: “Sorry this is absolutely insane.”

But someone else put: "The fact that so many people disagree with these points is why the divorce rate is higher than ever."

"Amen to everything. If anyone is upset about any of these.... there's probably a reason," adding another viewer.

And one person put: "Isn't it insane that having healthy boundaries in your relationship is odd to other people?"
