'My husband helped out with cleaning but I wish he hadn't - he's destroyed our fridge'

As the old saying goes: 'if you want something done right, do it yourself', and one woman learned this the hard way after her 'lovely husband' tried to help out with cleaning the fridge - but ended up making it look ten times worse.

The woman, who is only known as T, posts on TikTok as @takingcareofcleaning, and was left baffled when she came home to a scratched-looking fridge, narrating the video by saying: "Well, on today's episode of 'why are men like this'."

She captioned the video: "Steel wool does not mean clean stainless steel", followed by a thumbs-up emoji - hinting at what her husband had done.

T explained: "My lovely husband who has been home for the holidays tried to help cleaning, and he took steel wool, yes, steel wool, to clean our fridge.

"And now, we have this kind of abstract scratch marks. Yeah, I have no words, people, I have no words."

She then asked the question: "Can we call it art?"

The stainless steel fridge, which would've once been the focal point of the kitchen, was left with a serious amount of scratches. Some people were left wondering why he thought it was a good idea, questioning whether he'd do it on his car.

One woman fumed: "Steel wool! He wouldn't take it to his car so why would he take it to the fridge?!"

"He knew better. Just never wants to clean the fridge again", someone joked.

Another wrote: "Ask him what would happen if he took steel wool to his car. Then ask him why he'd expect anything different to happen in this scenario!"

"Why am I mad at him?" one man raged.

Someone else suggested that the way to make him learn from his mistake was to get a new one, commenting: "Get a new one, he's paying. Do that every time he ruins something cleaning. He will be the best cleaner in no time!"
