A woman says she lived to regret letting her husband pick the name of their fourth child, and hated his choice so much she ended up changing it completely four months down the line. Mum-of-four Emilee Kay had run out of names by the time she gave birth to her youngest, and so decided to leave the all-important decision in her husband's hands.
After four months, Emilee couldn't conceal her strong dislike for the chosen name any longer, admitting she 'hated' it. He agreed, and so the couple opted to change their little girl's name to one they felt suited her better, putting the initial regret behind them.
Taking to TikTok, where she goes by the username @hotmess.momma.of.4, Emilee explained: "We have four kids. Naming kids, each one, got harder and harder. By the fourth kid, we were all out of names.
"When I was pregnant, we didn’t know if I was having a boy or a girl, so we tossed around names for the entire pregnancy and then I popped out a girl. Thank God she was a girl because we literally had zero boy names."

She continued: "But anyway, she came out a girl, we had been talking about names the whole pregnancy, two hours after she was born, the birth certificate, knock, knock, knock, do you have a name? Not yet, an hour later - do you have a name? You can’t go home in 24 hours if you don’t have a name.
“So I was frustrated, didn't have a name so I let my husband name her. He named her Millie. At four-months-old, I looked at him and said 'I hate her name'. He said 'me too'. I said 'why didn’t we name her Mabel?', so at four-months-old, we changed her name from Millie Kay, to Mabel Kay."
Captioning her video, Emilee remarked that this would certainly make for a 'funny story' to tell little Mabel Kay when she's older, while many of her followers could relate all too well to the couple's rushed last-minute decision.
One fellow parent commented: "I changed my daughter's name in the middle of my c-section. I shouldn't have".
Another admitted: "My youngest son's middle name changed as I was pulling into the parking lot in labour to have him."
