Sharing your living space with housemates can have its ups and downs, especially if you have one or more people living with you who don't share your enthusiasm for keeping communal areas clean and tidy.
And that's exactly the problem one woman is having with her housemates, who would rather throw things away than spend time cleaning them.
The woman said she's been left fuming after noticing that several of her own items have been tossed in the bin recently, with some of them only finding their away into the rubbish because her housemates have used them and then been too lazy to give them a wash and put them back.

In a post on Reddit, the woman claimed she's lost mugs, tea towels, and protein shakers to the weekly rubbish collection, and has blamed her housemates for chucking them away.
She wrote: "My housemates keep throwing my stuff away.
"I have opened bins to find my stuff was thrown away: mugs, tea towels, hairbrushes, protein shakers, and small plastic parts for appliances that are essential to the appliance working. I'm also responsible for maintaining the house and some of this stuff has disappeared, the most recent was a sink plug that cost about £10 (one of the ones with a filter).
"These are only the things I've noticed as well, I'm sure that other stuff has been thrown away and I've not seen it in time.
"My housemates don't seem to understand how frustrating this is for me."
And in the comments of her post, the woman said her housemates have called her "overly dramatic" for getting upset about her belongings being thrown away, and have told her she's "getting annoyed for no reason".
She also explained the story of how her mug ended up in the bin, as she said one of her housemates used it, kept it in his room for several days, and then chucked it away as he couldn't be bothered to wash it up.
"The specific mug in question was used by my housemate, left in their room for ages, and then thrown away because he didn't want to wash it up cause it was so disgusting," she added.
Commenters on the post were firmly on the woman's side, with many saying they would be annoyed in her position, and that she should start doing the same thing back to her housemates.
One person said: "How could you possibly be in the wrong? They are throwing away your stuff for seemingly no reason."
While another added: "That would really annoy me. I'd be tempted to throw all their stuff away as well."
And a third posted: "I'd probably cry if someone threw away my mugs! They're utter psychos. Do it back."
