'My heart' - Man City fans react to panic-inducing moment from Ederson

Manchester City fans have been sharing their reaction to a heart-stopping moment involving Ederson.

The Blues took an early lead at the Etihad Stadium when Kevin De Bruyne's deflected strike evaded the reach of Allison in the Liverpool goal. However, the Reds managed to fire home an equaliser less than ten minutes later when Diogo Jota's shot squeezed under the body of the City 'keeper.

City retook the lead through Gabriel Jesus who broke the offside trap to place the ball over Allison to score. But on 23 minutes, with the scores level, Ederson nearly made all the wrong headlines with a piece of decision making that almost gave Liverpool the lead.

After receiving a back pass, the Brazilian shot stopper decided to dummy the ball. What he perhaps did not anticipate was how quickly Jota was closing him down and he ended up passing to Aymeric Laporte in a clearance just off the line.

Commenting on the incident on Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher said: "You thought is panic going to set in? No.

"Cool as you like, I’d of had a heart attack there." Meanwhile Gary Neville added: "They’re mad this lot.

"What are they doing? Hit the big man up top."
