'My eyes are bleeding' Calls for woman to be banned from Italy over 'disgusting' pasta dish

There's a special, disgusting, corner of the internet where every culinary nightmare you could imagine is brought to life.

It's called Rate My Plate where photos of homemade meals- usually inedible -  are posted by wannabe chefs wanting praise for their creations.

There are some truly revolting images on there, the kind that put you off your food for days to come.

But one woman's recent effort so offended fans of pasta that there have been calls for her to be banned from Italy.

The crime? Covering a plate of penne pasta in gravy, according to The Mirror.

Whilst many people thought it was disgusting, others bravely admitted to enjoying the cheap and cheerful "classic".

One said: "Pasta and gravy is something unbelievably disgusting. I am Italian and my eyes are bleeding."

A different user thought the amateur chef should be banned from Italy for her disaster of a  dinner, writing: "I just heard, you've got a lifetime ban from Italy."

Another person commented: "I'm going to sit quietly in a corner and try to forget I ever saw this."

Whilst someone else proclaimed: "Yes! I love pasta and gravy when I tell others about this they turn their nose up....until they try it".

A fourth added: "To be fair pasta and gravy is really nice... I usually add veg and chicken with it though ....not just pasta and gravy ..."

And a few people also suggested adding cheese into the mix: "Pasta gravy AND CHEESE is one of my faves!".

While some said Marmite and Cheese on pasta was a winning combination.

Other dishes that have also been at the forefront of the publics bashing on Rate My Plate are canned peaches filled with a scoop of tuna, dry super noodle sandwiches and questionable looking meat pies.

If the dish seems to be faultless, people will insult the cutlery, the placement of garnishes or just about anything else.
