'My entitled neighbour tried to ban me from hoovering at two specific times in the day'

While some people get along famously with their neighbours, others aren't so lucky. One woman has called out her "entitled" neighbour for trying to ban her from hoovering at 11am and 3pm specifically.

She explained how her neighbour is always down her throat complaining about something - anything from her cleaning schedule to her dog's barking. When responding to a Reddit thread asking: "What's the most unreasonable demand you have had from a neighbour?," she said: "Don't vacuum at 3pm because my husband works irregular times and it wakes him up."

She added: "That woman thinks that the world revolves around her. Well sucks to be you, but at what time can we vacuum then? She gets angry if she hears a washing machine, or if you vacuum at 11am, or if your dog 'woofs' once."

The woman went on to explain how her neighbour works an ever-changing shift pattern - and she doesn't go over to ask for his hours every week.

She added: "He works mornings, noons and nights - not a schedule you can keep in mind."

But even when she isn't home, her neighbour seems to find something to complain about.

She added: "[We got] a letter while we were on vacation saying: 'Your whole back yard is full of dog poo - it smells horribly. You have to clean up before we file a complain letter.'

"We looked in the backyard for said poop - and we found half a dried out turd the size of half my pinky finger behind a chair.

"There's no way they could have seen it without coming in our yard and no way it could have smelled.

"It was so dry that it turned to dust when you tried to pick it up. So that was a big lie to make us look bad."

Commenting on her post, one user said: "The nerves of some people."

Another user added: "Having worked nights before in an apartment complex it can be a nightmare dealing with the usual flow of things.

"If they were to ask nicely and give a reasonable time for both of you it's a mature way of doing things I guess."
