When one of our neighbours is in need of help, many of us would be more than happy to do what we can, as we know they'd do the same for us if the situation was reversed.
But one woman has been left gobsmacked by one of her neighbours after they demanded she comes over to clean her house "for free", simply because they'd seen her do the same for other people on their street.
The woman explained she "loves cleaning" and had decided to put her hobby to good use by offering to tidy up for a few of her neighbours - including an elderly woman who recently lost her husband, and a new mum.

After seeing the good deeds she had done for other neighbours, the woman was then approached by someone else who lives nearby, who said she wanted to know why the woman hadn't cleaned her house yet, and demanded she give her the same treatment as the other neighbours.
In a post on Reddit, the woman, from the US, said: "I live in a small community in Florida where most people are nice and kind to me. For context I love cleaning, and I like trying new products just for fun. A couple of times I've offered to clean other people's houses, free of charge, just to help them.
"Among them is a widow who recently lost her husband of 50 years, a neighbour who has a baby and a 3-year-old daughter, and another neighbour who had a car accident. I go to their houses and I clean for them once or twice a week.
"A few days ago, I was sitting on my couch when I heard someone knocking on my door. It was odd because we have a doorbell. I opened the door and this lady, around 40 years old, whom I've seen just a couple of times said: 'it took you a while to open the door'. I looked at her like I didn't understand what she just said. She then asked me in the most entitled tone, 'I want to know when are you going to clean my house for free'.
"At this point, I was trying not to laugh and I just asked her, 'why would I do that?'. She then proceeded to mention all the houses in the neighbourhood I've cleaned and she wanted to know why I haven't been to her house yet."
The woman claimed her neighbour then began "yelling" at her, and she eventually lost her temper and told the other woman to "f*** off" before closing the door on her.
And while she feels she was justified in her actions, she's now not sure if she should have been "nicer".
She added: "She then yelled at me, yes, yelled loud enough to make my next-door neighbour come outside to see what was going on. She was yelling at me because I wasn't replying to her. I was still trying to process how on Earth this woman thought she had the right to come to my house and demand that I clean her house, for free.
"I just said, 'I am never going to clean your house. I am not the neighbourhood's maid, I've only helped a few people.' She then demanded that I help her. At this point, I had enough so I just said 'f*** off' and closed the door.
"Later that day when my husband got home, she ran to him and told him I am a rude person and how I yelled at her. When I explained to him what happened he told me I shouldn't have talked to her like that and next time I should be nicer."
Commenters were firmly on the woman's side, with many of them criticising her husband for not supporting her as well as slamming the neighbour for being "entitled".
One person wrote: "You are helping out people who need a little extra because you're being kind and this woman had the entitled audacity to demand it? I would've told her to f**k off too."
While another said: "She didn't deserve any niceties, that entitled ridiculous woman. Good for you for standing your ground. And I don't get your husband siding with her."
