My COVID Story: "Despite recovering fully, I kept on getting COVID positive report"

Sikkim-based Amit Poudyal caught COVID despite following all precautions. His faith in God and with the help of his friends, he felt alright again. Here's his COVID story...

Like minority of people, I never took COVID seriously but used to wear mask property and sanitize myself in every situation. I am preparing for UPSC since 2020 and after the first wave, I went to Delhi and started preparing around 6 months without any complications. But.om 15 April, I got cold and mild fever but fortunately I felt fine the next day. I decided to have chicken soup from outside, but suddenly I found that I was not able to breathe. I was sweating all over the body and it felt like it was my last day. I wanted to talk with my family for last time so I rested on the side of the road for a couple of minutes. That day I felt like nothing is more important in life than oxygen.

Next day I tested COVID positive. The second wave was at its peak that time and I used to get tensed and anxious. I used to get more tensed whenever I heard sounds of Ambulance and people crying, since I stayed close to BLK Hospital.

From the next day onwards, I surrendered myself to God. I ate whatever was is infront of me because like others my taste and smell was gone. I ate veggies that I never ate before and that was the time my friends helped me a lot.

After 12 days, I was completely fine and I got tested again but I was surprised that I tested positive again. That report made me so anxious that I was not able to breathe. I wrote an email to ICMR about its impact but got no response. Again after 4 days, I went for a test and unfortunately I was positive again. I started healing my mind through meditation, sitting silent and more. After 15 days, I again got tested and I was finally negative. I have started loving the word negative.

Dear readers, I believe that one day everyone will catch COVID but do not get worried about it. If you believe in yourself, you can win.

Stay away from COVID related news because it is that which makes unable to breathe. And stay safe, stay sanitize. Thanks for giving your valuable time.
