Arsenal supporters have a new captain in mind after the incident involving Granit Xhaka.
The Swiss international attracted unwanted attention after gesturing to supporters as he made his way from the field in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
He could be seen gesturing and appeared to say 'f*** off' to himself as he made his way from the Emirates Stadium pitch.
Of course this exchange has left supporters outraged with his antics and questioned whether he should keep his role as club captain.
One player who has spoken out on the incident is Hector Bellerin.
The full-back took to social media and was keen to urge unity between both the players and the supporters.
He said: "We are all humans, we all have emotions, and sometimes it's not easy dealing with them.
"It's time to lift each other up, not to push each other away. We only win when we are together."
It's messages like this which have led Arsenal supporters to back Hector Bellerin as the potential future captain.
With Xhaka's role in the team under increasing pressure following the incident, supporters were keen to throw their support behind the Spaniard and suggest that he should be handed the armband.
Here's what they've had to say on social media.
