'My boyfriend cheated with my friend in my own home - while I recovered from tumour op'

A woman has revealed her horror after discovering her boyfriend had cheated on her with her friend - while she recovered from an operation to remove a tumour.

Amber Rogers claims she was in the next room recovering from having a tumour removed from her right breast when the pair had sex at her home.

She was gutted to hear that he had allegedly been sleeping with her friend behind her back for around five months.

The 35-year-old says she first thought something was up when her boyfriend and friend began acting strange around each other and treating her differently.

At the time, she was going through a cancer scare and recovering from surgery to remove a breast tumour.

The youth outreach worker is now urging other women to trust their intuition if they suspect a partner is cheating.

Amber, from Eugene, Oregon, US, said: "The relationship before then was very loving and we were inseparable - I don’t think there was a moment we went without one another.

"But when my friend came round he became really weird and he wasn't treating me normally. I felt like something was going on for a while.

"They were making a lot of excuses to hang out together and then I had family members in my house catching them in rooms being weird where they would just move away from each other.

"A big sign was extended and multiple 'bathroom breaks', turning notifications from being able to see who it is to generic notification from apps.

"He had added her on Snapchat and she was messaging him at 2/3am to come pick her up from places.

"She started feeling comfortable enough to sit right next to him in a room full of people where there were empty chairs and he wouldn't tell her to move and I would have nowhere to sit.

"She started treating me differently, being more loving than usual and leaving me notes around the house about how loved I am and how important I am.

"They always said nothing was happening but my intuition was really spot on."

The youth worker had been with her boyfriend for a year-and-a-half before she began to suspect him of cheating.

After a couple of months of unusual behaviour, the pair briefly split but without any proof that anything was going on she decided to give him another chance.

Just over a month later rumours began to surface that he was sleeping with her friend behind her back, leading her to the discovery that her 'intuition had been right all along'.

Tracing back to the time her boyfriend and friend began acting strange she was devastated to realise the pair started sleeping together in the next room while she was in bed recovering from surgery.

Amber said: "I thought maybe I was just crazy, making things up in my head - again I still didn't know any of the facts.

"But then within 45 days, the facts started coming out while he was still living at my house.

"During the time that the cheating occurred I had a breast cancer scare - I had a three by two-inch tumour from my right breast and lost a third of my tissue mass.

"Instead of making sure the house was clean or my needs were met or that the sheets were changed or my meds were picked up or whatever, they were just spending time together and having sex in the next room while I was sleeping and recovering from surgery.

"I don't know that I will ever fully recover from that situation - to be so blindsided by two people you love.

"It's still very sensitive for me, I'm still reeling from the pain of all of it."

Amber claims a roommate caught the pair sleeping together and word eventually travelled back to Amber's mum who confronted them about it.

The heartbroken girlfriend says both her boyfriend and friend denied the affair but later the same night she received an anonymous text message stating that the pair had been caught having sex on her couch.

Amber then confronted her boyfriend again and says he eventually admitted to the cheating and moved out, but she says her friend still 'refuses to tell the truth'.

Amber said: "He accused me of making a fake phone number and sending that message to myself when I confronted him with it, which is crazy.

"It took him about an hour to tell me the truth. I took work off the next day and suggested that we take a long drive and I said by the time we get back to the house I want all of the details.

"I packed up his things and moved him out shortly after that - it was the day after Valentine's Day.

"I have tried to get my friend to tell me the truth so that we could repair our relationship but she refuses to admit it and creates drama that doesn't need to be had so we don't talk at all now."

The youth worker is now trying to heal from the traumatic break-up and loss of two close people in her life and hopes to warn others of the warning signs of a cheating partner.

Amber said: "I'm still trying to heal by journaling and being really active and just doing all the healthy things but I don't know if I'll ever get over the things he did.

"People should always follow their instinct and intuition - if you feel that something is off, 100 percent of the time it's off.

"Watch things around you closely and be really aware of how people are with each other, their mannerisms and listen to the people around you when they're giving you warnings."

Amber's ex said: "Majority of it is inaccurate lol. I don’t care about this or her and for good reason. I’m not indulging her games."

Amber's friend denied the affair and claimed that the ex-boyfriend had 'confessed' to it in a message only in a bid to push her out of Amber's life.
