'My boyfriend and I FaceTime for 12 hours while he works - it's about trust'

A woman left people divided after claiming that she FaceTimes her boyfriend for the entire 12-hours that he is at work.

Nela, who shares a joint TikTok account @ flackoandnela with her boyfriend Jose, shared a viral clip of her video-calling her boyfriend while he packs boxes.

In the video, which has been viewed more than five million times, Jose appears to be in an Amazon warehouse, while Nela washes dishes at home.

In the caption, she wrote: “My boyfriend needs to FaceTime me his whole 12-hour shift,” before adding “NOT BECAUSE I don’t trust him but because I don’t trust females.”

In the caption, she wrote: “Might quit my job and go work with him.”

The video left many people feeling uncomfortable, as many people warned her that the relationship would not last.

"Girl, give him space,” one viewer advised, while another person added: “I hope this is a joke because this is a little too much.”

Someone else added: “If you trusted him you’d trust that he wouldn’t do anything, so there wouldn’t be a reason to do this.”

The video also prompted people to warn Nela that she may accidentally end up getting her boyfriend fired.

Others were interested to learn how their phones had enough battery to sustain the call.

“You could probably cook an egg on his phone,” another joked.

Meanwhile, one mum was left feeling gutted after she was forced to rescind an invite to her Christmas Dinner.

She had invited a friend to join her, fearing she would be lonely, but was left stunned after the woman promptly invited four other people to join.
