My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding's Paddy Doherty on oxygen amid Covid 19 battle

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding's Paddy Doherty is on oxygen again having being rushed to hospital less than three weeks after he first battled Covid 19.

The 62-year-old Celebrity Big Brother winner coughed and wheezed as he fought for breath in a Facebook post uploaded on Saturday morning.

Speaking from the Countess of Chester Hospital, he told followers and friends he was back in the ward because of the damage caused by the deadly virus.

Paddy explained: "I'll be out in the morning. Just be careful everyone. I'm worse than a cat. A cat's got seven lives, I've got 100 lives."

As he inhaled oxygen he said: "Catch you all later. Be lucky."

Paddy was rushed to hospital last month after battling Covid - and was given a survival rate of 50 per cent.

He told The Daily Star at the time: '"The doctors and nurses were all around me. I felt like I was paralysed in my body because I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t raise my hand, my head or even speak. I had no strength. The doctors were putting all these drips in me and I thought ‘this is it’."

"They gave me some drugs and said if they didn’t work I’d have to go on a ventilator and that I had a 50/50 chance of survival but they told me they thought I could beat it.

"You’re looking at people and they’re coming in and then being rolled out and you’re saying ‘he’s not made it, he’s not made it, he’s not made it'.

The star said at one pint he thought he "was a goner" and that his "number was up".

Following his latest post, fans sent him their wellwishes with one saying: "Aww, Paddy not again u poor thing, this time when u get out please stay home and stay safe. God bless u."
