'My Ballon d’Or winner' - Chelsea fans love what Jorginho did during dramatic win vs Leeds

Chelsea fans were full of praise for Jorginho as he netted two penalties in Saturday’s thrilling 3-2 victory against Leeds United.

The Italian successfully converted from the penalty spot in each half, each time after Antonio Rudiger had been fouled by the hosts.

The game had not got off to the best start for Thomas Tuchel’s men as Raphinha opened the scoring from Leeds’ own penalty, with Mason Mount then finding the equaliser shortly before the half-time break. Jorginho then had his intervention by coolly rolling home.

Just like against West Ham United and Zenit St Petersburg, it looked as though the Blues were set to relinquish victory as Joe Gelhardt fired in an 85th-minute equaliser for Leeds.

However, Chelsea were not to be denied as the Blues’ penalty expert fired home during stoppage time to secure a dramatic win.

His brace took the 29-year-old to six goals for the season and Chelsea fans have been showering him with praise since - with some saying he should have won the Ballon d’Or, despite having missed out to Lionel Messi only a number of weeks ago.

Here are the best of their responses on social media on Saturday evening.

Despite the dramatic victory against Leeds, Chelsea remain third in the current Premier League standings.

Their main rivals for the Premier League title, Manchester City and Liverpool, both won and also via penalties.

Raheem Sterling scored the decisive spot-kick for Pep Guardiola’s men, whilst Mohamed Salah’s strike was enough to see the Reds squeeze past Aston Villa at Anfield.
