When you're a first-time parent, it can be really tough to navigate day-to-day life, especially bedtime. Getting your baby into a good routine can be challenging, and there's no one size fits all method to crack the code of making your baby fall asleep and stay asleep.
But one mum, Chloe Gordon, who posts on TikTok as @extragordonary, was left amazed when her daughter suddenly started sleeping through the night, and it was all down to a 20p trick that her husband had found that really worked.
She captioned the video: "Works like a charm!", even jokingly using the hashtag 'daddy's girl', as her dad discovered the hack.

Chloe's husband can be seen giving their daughter a bowl full of the seemingly miracle-working food which makes their daughter sleep through the night.
Over the top of the video, it reads: "When you wonder how your daughter has been sleeping through the night but your husband does the bedtime routine and has been giving her a bowl of oats right before bed", followed by an ok-hand emoji.
In the comments, other parents were amazed that the food had such an impact, with one joking she was going to "feed it to her baby and husband."
One wrote: "Girl yes! Mash a banana in there and some peanut butter. Protein, carbs, and a very happy tummy! Did this for all my kids at eight months and they slept through."
"Yes, they must be fed up to sleep well", another mum agreed.
"Smart man", someone complimented, whilst another parent said: "That's how you do it!"
A stressed mum commented: "Omg I'm trying this. My 11-year-old wakes up eight times in the night."
A kilogram of oats costs just £1.69 from Holland & Barrett, working out at less than 20p per portion.
Claire Barnes, nutritional therapist at Bio-Kult previously spoke exclusively with the Mirror to share that oats certainly can help you sleep better at night.
"To produce melatonin, our body requires tryptophan, which is an amino acid obtained from certain proteins in the diet. Foods such as poultry, bananas, oats, seeds, and nuts are all good sources of tryptophan", explains Claire.
"Although, not conclusive, some studies have shown improvements to sleep when consuming tryptophan foods, especially when the individual already experiences some sleep disturbances.
"Great food choices if hungry before sleep includes porridge, bananas, seeds and nuts or a banana helps to increase the amount of tryptophan to allow for conversion into melatonin.
"Whilst we should avoid eating a large meal before bedtime, a small bowl of porridge containing bananas, seeds, and nuts or a banana and oat smoothie could potentially help to increase the amount of tryptophan available for conversion into melatonin."
