MWL Supports 15 States, Int'l Organizations amid Fight Against COVID-19

The Muslim World League (MWL) has launched a number of initiatives to help 15 states and international organizations in tackling the effects of the novel coronavirus pandemic, as part of a prompt response that meets measures imposed by the United Nations and the WHO as well as governments of the beneficiary countries.

MWL's official spokesman Abdulwahab Al-Shihry, who is also director of information and communication department, said his organization is embarked on a comprehensive plan to alleviate the impacts of COVID-19 on the epidemic-hit countries in each of Asia, Africa and Europe.

Al-Shihry said MWL's offices around the world were instructed to kick off the first phase of the plan.

Notably, during phase 1 the beneficiaries will be provided with direct financial subsidies, medical equipment, preventive and precautionary aid, food supplies and illumination culture, to enhance its efforts to reduce the hits of the disease.
