MWL Helps Burundi’s Blind

Muslim World League Chief Mohammed Al-Issa visits eye surgery patient in Burundi capital of Bujumbura

Muslim World League Chief Mohammed Al-Issa inaugurated a hospital designed to combat blindness in the Burundi capital of Bujumbura.

The project was inaugurated in cooperation with the Burundian Health Ministry, in the presence of Minister of Health Dr. Nkomana Tadi, Edward Andomana, and a number of eye surgeons at the hospital.

The program is part of the huge project to combat blindness in the African continent, where the MWL is represented by its international relief, care and development foundation

On the other hand, MWL Chief Al-Issa visited the Elderly Home, the Center for the Protection of Children and the World Women's Union in the Burundian capital.

Al-Issa's visit comes in solidarity and communication with patients, assuring them that the MWL is in contact with everyone in order to provide support and aid to humanity without religious or ethnic discrimination, and that their Muslim brothers join with them and provide them with material and moral support.

Al-Issa also superintended the MWL’s relief program for the official visit to Burundi—which includes the distribution of 3,000 food rations to the needy in a number of villages and counties in the republic.
