Muswellbrook wakes to news of 3.9 magnitude earthquake

MUSWELLBROOK residents may have had an shaky start to Sunday, after a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was reported in the early hours of the morning.

The federal government's Earthquakes@GA website shows the quake was felt at 3.48am local time on Sunday, which is equal to 5.48pm Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on Saturday.

It had a depth of one kilometre.
