Muswellbrook and Singleton added to floods disaster declaration

The NSW Government has included Muswellbrook and Singleton as part of a natural disaster declaration relating flooding events in November.

Resilience NSW announced on Wednesday, December 1 that the LGAs of Muswellbrook and Singleton were being added to the declaration alongside 17 other council areas including Liverpool Plains, Tamworth and Dubbo.

The Upper Hunter Shire had already been included from Monday, with the disaster declaration now encompassing a total of 38 LGAs across the state for severe weather and flooding from November 9 onwards.

Residents of Muswellbrook and Singleton who have been affected by recent flooding are now able to access a range of special assistance measures, according to the NSW Government.
