GORAKHPUR: "Women have been given the highest place in Indian tradition and we must try to secure their security, honour and self-reliance in our daily life," said chief minister Yogi Adityanath after performing the 'kanya pujan' in Gorakhpur on Sunday and extended the greetings of Ram Navami and Vasant Navaratra to citizens.
The CM also met over 500 people during the Janata Darbar and asked officials to assured them of all possible help and instructed officials to resolve their problems.
"Kanya Pujan strengthens our belief in giving protection and a better environment to women. This can be achieved by getting associated with government schemes like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padao', 'Janani Suraksha Yojana', Matri Vandana Yojna, Kanya Sumangal Yojna and mission shakti," the CM said.
The CM also celebrated Ram Navami and offered prayers to lord Rama in a cradle amid sohar songs in the open theater of Gorakhnath temple. He said: "The government was working to realize 'Ramrajya' dream which means justice and respect to all and appealed all to get associated with the mission."
