Must Amelie drink alone?

This very afternoon, the lovely Amelie Vicenzo will be in London, and so will I, I hope. We are meeting at the Churchill Arms in Kensington Church Street. Will anyone interested in coming please make themselves known in comments. I should have put this post up yesterday, but I spent it out of the office, and unable to get into the network here. On the other hand, I got to hear a Slovenian intellectual denounce the "hegemonistically pessimistic" Roman Catholic church there: it's moments like that which make a Guardian writer's life worthwhile.
