A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash with a car in Musselburgh .
Bridge Street was closed as a result of the incident, which happened during the morning rush hour.
Police were contacted about the accident at 8.30am and officers attended the scene of the collision – which involved a BMW 520 and a Honda XR motorbike.
The woman who was on the motorbike has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Lothian Buses said that services were being diverted as a result of the road closure.
