Muslims should hold talks with BJP, says PM Modi’s aide

JAIPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s close aide Zafar Sareshwala has asked Muslims not to hesitate in holding a dialogue with BJP.

“Muslims have to understand the importance of dialogue with the present dispensation. They should be careful of those who are scaring them against the Union government and blocking them from addressing their concerns and raising their demands,” said Sareshwala.

The former vice-chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University has been holding series of TOT across the country creating awareness on financial literacy. He charged Rajasthan government for the decline in the enrolment of Muslims in the higher education institutes in the state.

“It is unfortunate that the present government who claimed to the wellwishers of the minorities has allowed the Muslims enrolment falling from 44,358 in 2018-19 to 44,183 in 2019-20 as per All India Survey on Higher Education report 2020 released recently,” said Sareshwala.

(Retd) Col Idris Khan, another speaker in the conference says that Indian Muslims are the most privileged class in the world to have artistic skills.

“Most of the Muslim sub-caste and communities are based on a particular skill. It is important to inject technology to scale their products and modern means of market their products. The institutional support to them like capital, supply chain and market can greatly contribute in the economy of the country,” said Khan. The conference has sessions on financial literacy by the Bombay Stock Exchange and Union Bank of India. Noted Singer Malini Awasthi mesmerised the audience with her songs.
