Muslim World League Launches Rohingya Refugee Integrated Services Center in Bangladesh

The Muslim World League inaugurates the Integrated Services Center for Muslim Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. (SPA)

Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa inaugurated on Saturday the Integrated Services Center for Muslim Rohingya refugees in reception areas in Bangladesh, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Issa said that the service center will provide a small community of Rohingya refugees with social facilities that provide basic education, vocational training and primary healthcare.

This will help ease the suffering of refugees living in difficult conditions in camps that are ill-equipped with the most basic living standards.

The new center will provide the refugees with an environment similar to normal life, which will help introduce normalcy back into their lives, especially children and students.

The League, said Al-Issa, had previously issued a statement that highlighted the suffering of the Rohingya in Myanmar at the hands of terrorist oppression and genocide.

This chapter in history will be a blight on the humanitarian and United Nations record and stand as evidence of the extent the world has failed in stopping the massacres of hatred and spite against the Rohingya, he added.
