Musician Brooks Young dies in tragic car crash at age 42

Popular guitarist Brooks Young has tragically died at age 42, following a car accident in Alton, New Hampshire.

The Express reported that the musician, who was in the midst of a nationwide tour, died on Friday morning. Young's last Instagram post, shared in September, featured a clip of him performing Chris Isaak's Wicked Game which he captioned as, "Here’s a little something special—our take on the hauntingly beautiful… This song never fails to set the mood and pull you in with every note."

Young was scheduled to perform one final show later this year at Concord Craft Brewery in New Hampshire.

In a report on Daily Mail, his family expressed their grief, and said that the singer was “a special person to so many in his music career.”

Known for collaborations with legendary artists like B.B. King, REO Speedwagon, and Bryan Adams, tributes poured in, remembering the star. His longtime bandmate, Jeff LeRoy, paid tribute on Facebook, writing, “He was a gifted musician and a kind soul who understood the magic of music and the bond of true friendship.”

“His music and warmth will echo on,” he added.

Young's wife, Andrea Jalbert Young, shared that the family is struggling to process the loss which "has left us heartbroken."
