Back to school then … Music Weekly returns with a new pencil case and a satchel full of music to get through, with Michael Hann our guest in the studio.
It's Cassette Store Day on Saturday September 7, so we go reel to reel with the curators of the day, who are still shell-shocked that people such as Flaming Lips and Haim have got involved. We also talk to Rod Thomas (aka Bright Light Bright Light) about why he's released his debut for the third time on this nostalgic format.
In Singles Club we have tracks from Pixies, Natasha Khan and Jon Hopkins, and Ace Hood. During this we learn that Michael one had a pair of Bugatti shoes.
It's also Bestival this weekend, so we preview the highlights and the team discuss what to expect from Snoop (Dogg? Lion? Tortoise?), and predict a storming finale form Elton John.
